Where is Mojo Stay & Kite located?
We are located straight on the Kappalady Lagoon, on Sri Lanka’s west coast. Our bungalows sit directly on the lagoon, so you can step straight from your room onto the water.
Is Mojo good for kitesurfing?
Yes — We partner with two kite schools right next door offering lessons for all levels, equipment rental, downwinders, and specialty kite safari trips, so you don’t need to travel anywhere else to kite.
When is the best time to kitesurf in Kalpitiya?
We have two kite seasons: the main season from May to October, with steady southwest winds around 20–28 knots most days, and a secondary season from December to February, with northwest winds around 15–20 knots .
Do I need to be a kitesurfer to stay at Mojo?
Not at all — Mojo Stay & Kite is just as good a base for non-kiters. Between the lagoon, the beach, and nearby Wilpattu National Park, there’s plenty to do even if you never pick up a kite.
Can I go dolphin watching at Mojo Stay & Kite?
Yes — dolphin watching trips start right from the beach here, so you can head out to see them without needing to travel to another town first.
Is Mojo a good base for visiting Wilpattu National Park?
Yes — Wilpattu, Sri Lanka’s largest national park and known for leopard and elephant sightings, is a short trip from Mojo, making it an easy day-trip safari destination for guests staying with us.
Is Mojo good for remote work?
Yes — alongside the private wifi in each bungalow, we have a dedicated workspace on site, so it works well as a base for digital nomads who want to work by day and kite in the evenings.
Is there diving near Mojo
Yes — diving is available in the area, making Kalpitiya and Mojo a good base for combining water sports, wildlife, and diving in one trip.
Can I leave my luggage?
Yes, we can look after your luggage. If at check in your room is not ready yet or in case of early check out after .We will store your luggage free of charge on your check-in and check-out days.
Check-in time?
As a rough guide, the check-in time is at 2 pm. Let us know your arrival time in case you schedule and early check in we will do our best to have your room available.
Check-out time?
As a rough guide, the check-out time is at 11 am. If you plan a late check out kindly let us know your departure time, we will do our best to satisfy your needs.
Airport transfer
We can arrange your airport pick up or drop off. Kindly share your flight and arrival information, and we will take care of your transfer arrangements. Your driver will be ready and waiting for you at the airport arrivals hall, holding a name board for easy identification.

A wireless internet connection is available throughout Mojo.

Payment, deposit and cancellation
Full payment of your booking will be processed upon check-in.
Please be aware that we do not accept credit cards at our property. We prefer cash payments and take any hard currency, such as Euros, USD, or local currencies. Bank transfers, or payments with wise or revolute are possible.
ATMs are available both at the airport and in Norocholai town (20 minutes’ drive from Mojo). We can arrange a tuk-tuk for you to get there
